ACT Adjunct Staff

Dan Moulder

Dan Moulder serves as an adjunct instructor with ACT, primarily in the role of instructor for Utah Concealed Firearm Permit classes. Raised in Tipton County, Indiana on his family’s farm, Dan’s interest in firearms and hunting began early in life. At age 11 he attended one of the first Hunter Safety classes conducted by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. When he turned 18, Dan obtained his first Indiana License to Carry Handgun and has been carrying a defensive gun ever since.

Dan received training in the U.S. Army, including Military Police School at Ft. McClellan, Alabama in 1996. In 2005, he earned NRA Instructor certifications for Pistol and Personal Protection. Later that year, he received certification from the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification, becoming the first instructor for the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit in Indiana. Dan has been licensed to carry a handgun in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Florida and Utah, and is a valued resource regarding gun laws in many states.

Dan is currently employed by a non profit agency in central Indiana, working with emotionally handicapped children. In addition he is an Independent XANGO Distributor, Firearms Instructor and Reserve Police Officer with a midsized, central Indiana police department. Dan and his wife reside in central Indiana with their furry and scaly kids (Chopper and Rose the Greyhounds, Floyd the turtle and Kenny the Kenyan Sand Boa).
